"I recently completed a 12-session course with Angela and it has been a revelation. Years of sedentary work, poor posture and a bad accident a few years ago had all contributed to pain and inflexibility in my neck and back. Despite seeing a number of good bodywork therapists over the years, it felt increasingly like a sticking plaster was being applied to a degenerating situation. When I saw Angela for the first time, I shared my concern that my body had ‘gone too far’ to fully recover. By the end of that session, however, I knew two things: that KMI was going to get to the root of the problem and that Angela was an exceptional therapist. "I originally went to Angela as my feet hurt - one session and practical advice about use of gel inserts in my shoes and that problem was soon resolved.  However I am also a horse rider and after a variety of falls over the years, I had issues with straightness in the saddle.  Angela has helped realign my pelvis, neck and shoulders as well as balance my ribs and this improved both my breathing and posture.  She explains how the restrictions have impacted my ability to ride straight in terms that make sense and always checks my understanding of what she has said.

"I had long term imbalances due to too much sedentary working, old exercise injuries and poor posture. When I started exercising again it became obvious that I needed to work hard on getting my body back in alignment. My pilates teacher recommended KMI with Angela. My goal was to improve my alignment to feel better in my body, increase my exercise intensity, and reduce the risk of exercise related injury.

KMI is an excellent technique, and Angela is an excellent practitioner. She listens carefully, picks up even the finest imbalances, and works you carefully through a programme of improvement from the feet up. She is extremely good at her craft. I always come away from sessions feeling much better, and importantly that improvement sticks, though to get maximum benefit I have to perform the right stretching outside of sessions.

For me, the programme has worked very well in combination with weekly strength training, pilates and running. I've gone from being unable to run without extreme tightness and heat in my left side to running an easy 10k and being stronger and more flexible all round. KMI helped me achieve this by putting me in balance so I can exercise more intensively without injury. It makes it easy for your body to live a normal life much more comfortably, and prepares you if you want to achieve higher levels of fitness. Imbalance is part of life, and left ignored it will only get worse. How better to spend money than on making sure your body is fit for life?"

"The only way I could get my head around what Angela does is to parallel it with having the tyres on your car balanced so they wear more evenly. 

I knew I was just dealing with the imbalance from daily life, leaning over a computer screen and long car journeys plus a strange foot condition that required surgery, the relief from sessions with Angela is quite palpable – I can stand straight, tall and breathe more freely.

Angela has mastered her craft and administers in her inimitable way.

She was very dedicated to solving my joint issues and readily assessed and reassessed my problem areas throughout the treatment.  Because the affected areas had been problematic for some time they were not necessarily easy to solve.  But Angela really did go over and above to sort these out.

I am very pleased with the results as these were problems that previous ‘more conventional’ treatments had failed to remedy.
